Restricted Material List (RML)
The main aim of Husqvarna Group’s Restricted Materials List (RML) is to ensure that the use chemical substances that may be hazardous to the environment or the health of users or that may cause other negative concerns is avoided in its products, accessories and spare parts. The RML is based on several legal requirements relevant for Husqvarna Group’s products.
The RML specifies the requirements on the use of chemicals substances in components that form part of Husqvarna Group’s products including semi-finished products, parts, materials and packaging. Chemical substances on the RML can be used in the production under the condition that the substances should not exist in the finished product above the threshold.
The supplier is expected to report immediately to Husqvarna Group in the instance that a chemical substance on the RML is present above the stated threshold. The supplier is expected observe changes in the RML and inform Husqvarna Group of relevant changes concerning new substances which influence the supplier’s obligations towards Husqvarna Group.
